Instructions for Authors
1. General Information
Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat publishes scholarly articles, community service reports, applied research, and practical innovation articles related to community empowerment, education, health, technology, economy, environment, social development, culture, and other fields relevant to community service.
Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that present clear community problems, appropriate methods of implementation, measurable outcomes, practical benefits, and meaningful contributions to the target community.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
2. Manuscript Types
The journal accepts manuscripts in the form of:

Community service articles.

Applied research articles.

Community empowerment reports.

Training and mentoring program reports.

Technology implementation articles.

Social innovation and community development articles.

Evaluation or impact assessment of community service programs.
3. Language
Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. Authors must ensure that the manuscript uses clear academic language, correct grammar, and consistent terminology.
For manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia, authors are encouraged to provide the title, abstract, and keywords in English when required by the journal template.
4. Manuscript Originality
Submitted manuscripts must be original works of the author(s). The manuscript must not have been previously published in another journal, proceeding, book chapter, repository as a formal publication, or other publication platform.
Authors must ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, improper authorship, and other forms of publication misconduct.
All submitted manuscripts will be checked for similarity by the Editorial Team.
5. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should be prepared according to the official journal template and generally include the following sections:
Title
The title should be concise, informative, and clearly represent the content of the community service activity or applied program.
Author Names and Affiliations
The manuscript must include the full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, and email addresses. One author must be identified as the corresponding author.
Abstract
The abstract should briefly describe the background, objective, method, main activities, results, impact, and conclusion of the community service program.
Recommended abstract length: 150–250 words.
Keywords
Authors should provide 3–6 keywords that represent the main topic of the manuscript. Keywords should be separated by semicolons.
Introduction
The introduction should explain the background of the community problem, urgency of the program, target community, literature support, objectives, and expected contribution of the activity.
Method
The method section should describe the approach, location, participants or target community, implementation stages, instruments, materials, tools, training methods, mentoring process, evaluation method, and data collection techniques used in the program.
Results and Discussion
This section should present the implementation results, outputs, achievements, community responses, evaluation findings, and impact of the activity.
The discussion should explain the significance of the results, compare them with relevant previous works, and describe the benefits, limitations, and sustainability of the program.
Conclusion
The conclusion should summarize the main findings, program outcomes, benefits for the community, and recommendations for future community service activities.
Acknowledgment
Acknowledgments may be included to recognize funding support, institutional support, community partners, local government, technical assistance, or individuals who contributed to the program.
References
All references cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all references listed must be cited in the text.
Authors are encouraged to use relevant and recent scholarly references.
6. Manuscript Formatting
Authors must use the official Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat manuscript template.
General formatting requirements:

Manuscript file format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

Paper size: A4.

Manuscript length: preferably 6–15 pages, including tables, figures, and references.

Font, margin, spacing, heading style, table format, and citation style must follow the journal template.

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.

Figures must be clear and readable.
-
Tables should be editable and not inserted as images.
-
Equations, if any, must be written clearly and numbered when necessary.
7. Citation and Reference Style
References must follow the citation style required by the journal template. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure citation and reference consistency.
Every in-text citation must have a corresponding entry in the reference list.
8. Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be placed close to the text where they are first mentioned. Each table and figure must have a clear title or caption.
Figures, diagrams, photographs, screenshots, and graphs must be clear, readable, and relevant to the manuscript.
Authors must obtain permission for any copyrighted materials reproduced from other sources.
9. Ethical Requirements
By submitting a manuscript to Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, authors confirm that:

The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.

The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.

All listed authors have made significant contributions to the work.

All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

The manuscript does not contain plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices.

Any conflict of interest has been disclosed.

Any funding source or institutional support has been properly acknowledged.

Community participants, institutions, and partners are treated ethically and respectfully.
10. Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the planning, implementation, data collection, analysis, interpretation, writing, or revision of the manuscript.
All authors must agree to the submission and publication of the manuscript. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version before submission.
11. Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, personal, academic, or other relationships that may influence the implementation, interpretation, or publication of the manuscript.
If there is no conflict of interest, authors may include the following statement:
The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this manuscript.
12. Community Ethics and Consent
Community service activities involving participants, personal data, interviews, surveys, photographs, institutional records, or sensitive information must follow ethical standards and applicable regulations.
Authors must obtain permission, consent, or institutional approval when required. Personal information and participant privacy must be protected.
13. Submission Procedure
All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
Before submission, authors should ensure that:

The manuscript is within the journal’s aims and scope.

The manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

The manuscript has been checked for grammar, formatting, and references.

All author information and metadata are complete.

Tables, figures, photographs, and references are properly formatted.

The similarity level is acceptable according to the journal policy.
Submissions that do not follow the journal guidelines may be returned to the authors before peer review.
14. Peer Review Process
Manuscripts submitted to Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat will undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that pass this stage will be reviewed through an anonymous peer review process.
Each manuscript will be evaluated by reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic. The final editorial decision is based on reviewer recommendations, manuscript quality, originality, relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, methodological soundness, community impact, and compliance with publication ethics.
Possible editorial decisions include:

Accepted with minor revision.

Major revision required.

Rejected.
15. Revision
Authors who receive revision requests must revise their manuscript according to the comments and suggestions from reviewers and editors.
The revised manuscript should be submitted together with a response explaining how each comment has been addressed.
16. Copyright and License
Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights of their published articles without restrictions. Authors grant Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat the right of first publication and allow the journal to publish, distribute, and archive the article as the original publisher.

17. Article Processing Charge
Information regarding article processing charges, submission fees, publication fees, or any other author fees must be clearly stated on the journal website.
Authors should read the journal’s Article Processing Charges policy before submitting their manuscript.
