Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat is committed to maintaining academic integrity, publication ethics, and the originality of all published articles. The journal routinely screens all article submissions for plagiarism before the peer review process.

All submitted manuscripts are checked by the Editorial Team using plagiarism detection tools and editorial assessment to identify possible plagiarism, text similarity, duplicate publication, improper citation, text recycling, data fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct.

Similarity Check

Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat will undergo a similarity check before being sent to reviewers. This process is conducted to ensure that the manuscript is original, properly cited, and does not contain unacceptable overlap with previously published works.

Manuscripts with a high similarity level, copied text without proper citation, or substantial unattributed overlap may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected by the Editorial Team.

Acceptable Similarity Level

The maximum acceptable similarity level in Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat is generally 25%, excluding references, quotations, formulas, and commonly used terms.

However, the Editorial Team reserves the right to evaluate the similarity report contextually. A manuscript may still be rejected even if the similarity percentage is below the threshold when plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical reuse of previous work is identified.

Forms of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Copying text, ideas, data, tables, figures, images, or other materials from another source without proper citation.

  2. Using another author’s work as one’s own.

  3. Paraphrasing previous works without proper acknowledgment.

  4. Reusing substantial parts of the author’s own previous work without proper citation.

  5. Submitting a manuscript that has been published or is under consideration elsewhere.

  6. Manipulating citations or references to hide similarity.

  7. Using data, images, or research results without permission or acknowledgment.

Actions Against Plagiarism

If plagiarism or other unethical publication practices are detected, the journal may take one or more of the following actions:

  1. Return the manuscript to the author for revision.

  2. Reject the manuscript before peer review.

  3. Reject the manuscript after editorial or reviewer evaluation.

  4. Request clarification from the author.

  5. Withdraw the manuscript from the editorial process.

  6. Retract the article if plagiarism is discovered after publication.

  7. Notify the author’s institution or relevant parties in serious cases of misconduct.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly cite all sources used in the study. Authors must not submit manuscripts that have been previously published or are under consideration by another journal.

By submitting a manuscript to Jurnal DIASYA - Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, authors confirm that the work is original, free from plagiarism, and complies with the journal’s publication ethics policy.
