Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Inovasi Komputer (INOKOM) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are routinely screened for plagiarism before being sent to the peer review process.
The journal uses plagiarism detection tools and editorial assessment to identify possible similarities, improper citation, duplicate publication, text recycling, data fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct.
Similarity Check
Every submitted manuscript will be checked for similarity by the Editorial Team. The similarity check is conducted to ensure that the manuscript is original, properly cited, and does not contain unacceptable overlap with previously published works.
Manuscripts with a high similarity level, plagiarism, or substantial unattributed text overlap may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected by the Editorial Team.
Acceptable Similarity Level
The maximum acceptable similarity level in Jurnal Inovasi Komputer (INOKOM) is generally 25%, excluding references, quotations, formulas, and commonly used technical terms.
However, the Editorial Team reserves the right to evaluate the similarity report contextually. A manuscript may still be rejected even when the similarity percentage is below the threshold if it contains plagiarism, copied text without proper citation, duplicate publication, or unethical reuse of previous work.
Actions Against Plagiarism
If plagiarism or unethical publication practice is detected, the journal may take one or more of the following actions:
-
Return the manuscript to the author for revision.
-
Reject the manuscript before peer review.
-
Reject the manuscript after editorial or reviewer evaluation.
-
Request clarification from the author.
-
Retract the article if plagiarism is discovered after publication.
-
Notify the author’s institution or relevant parties in serious cases of misconduct.
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly cite all sources used in the study. Authors must not submit manuscripts that have been previously published or are under consideration by another journal.
By submitting a manuscript to Jurnal Inovasi Komputer (INOKOM), authors confirm that the work is original, free from plagiarism, and complies with the journal’s publication ethics policy.
