JOURNAL INFORMATION

The term NEXURAL is a coined academic name formed through the conceptual combination of the words “Next” and “Neural.” The name was selected to represent the journal’s scientific orientation toward next-generation Artificial Intelligence, neural-based learning paradigms, and advanced intelligent computational systems.

The word “Next” represents continuous scientific innovation, emerging intelligent technologies, future-oriented computational research, and the development of new methods that extend the capabilities of existing intelligent systems. It reflects the journal’s commitment to publishing research that contributes to the next stage of Artificial Intelligence development.

The word “Neural” refers to neural networks, deep learning, representation learning, neural computing, and biologically inspired computational models. These approaches constitute important foundations of contemporary Artificial Intelligence and enable computational systems to learn from data, identify complex patterns, understand information, produce predictions, and support autonomous decision-making.

Together, the term NEXURAL represents the convergence of next-generation scientific innovation with neural and intelligent computational paradigms. The term reflects the development of intelligent systems capable of learning, reasoning, perception, prediction, adaptation, optimization, and autonomous decision-making.

Within the context of the journal, NEXURAL is not limited exclusively to neural-network-based methods. It represents a broader academic concept encompassing Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Computing, including machine learning, computational intelligence, computer vision, natural language processing, autonomous reasoning, intelligent data analytics, robotics, optimization, explainable Artificial Intelligence, and intelligent decision-support systems.

This meaning is directly aligned with the journal’s focus on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Computing. Artificial Intelligence provides the scientific theories, models, and methods required to develop systems capable of performing tasks that ordinarily require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, perception, prediction, language understanding, and decision-making.

Intelligent Computing refers to the computational theories, algorithms, architectures, optimization techniques, and data-driven methods used to implement, enhance, and evaluate these intelligent capabilities. It includes both neural and non-neural approaches, such as evolutionary computation, fuzzy systems, swarm intelligence, probabilistic reasoning, knowledge-based systems, hybrid intelligent systems, and advanced optimization methods.

Accordingly, NEXURAL – Journal of Nexural Intelligence serves as a scholarly platform for research that advances the theory, methodology, design, implementation, evaluation, and responsible application of next-generation intelligent technologies. The journal name reflects its commitment to connecting emerging AI innovations, neural learning paradigms, and intelligent computational methods to address complex scientific, engineering, industrial, and societal challenges.
